Carbon steel plate, also called carbon structural steel plate, refers to carbon steel with a carbon content of less than 0.8%. This type of steel contains less sulfur, phosphorus and non-metallic inclusions, so it has excellent mechanical properties. Carbon steel plates can be divided into three categories: low carbon steel, medium carbon steel and high carbon steel. The carbon content of low carbon steel is less than 0.25%, the carbon content of medium carbon steel is between 0.25%-0.6%, and the carbon content of high carbon steel is greater than 0.6%. This type of material has certain plasticity, toughness and strength, good machinability, and has good comprehensive mechanical properties after quenching and tempering treatment.
